French-based global start-up accelerator network ZEBOX has launched its 5th hub in Singapore.

With over 130 early-stage businesses in its portfolio, the ZEBOX mission is to connect start-ups and large companies enabling them to transform entire industries and scale solutions which can address global problems.

As well as connecting start-ups and corporates, this new launch aims to address business and sustainability challenges across sectors including supply chains, logistics and transport.

ZEBOX CEO Gwen Salley said: “ZEBOX’s goal is to connect the most promising start-ups with industry leaders looking at innovation as a means of progress and path toward a more sustainable economy. With Asia Pacific being one of the most, if not the most active region in the world, it simply made sense for ZEBOX to launch in Singapore.”

Supported by Enterprise Singapore and the Maritime Port Authority of Singapore, the ZEBOX Asia Pacific hub will benefit from Singapore’s pro-business government, local talent and vibrant tech support system.

With Singapore being home to over 4,000 start-ups and the regional headquarters of global enterprises, the ZEBOX mission pushes for collaboration and innovation.

Laurent Olmeta, CEO of CMA CGM APAC, said: “From today, ZEBOX Asia Pacific will start initiating corporate start-up collaborations to future-proof tomorrow’s supply chain with resilience, agility and sustainability.”

“The CMA CGM Group embraces innovation for excellence and sustainable transformation. We are thrilled that ZEBOX has expanded to Asia Pacific and taken off the ground with three new esteemed partners in Singapore.”

Mr. Teo Eng Dih, Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Chief Executive stated: “Start-ups play a critical role in the transformation of the maritime sector by generating value through their innovative solutions.”

The 20 partner communities that ZEBOX now has are aiming to co-develop groundbreaking solutions across their main sectors, which include operational efficiency and decarbonization in order to access the thriving and quickly expanding Asian markets in Singapore.

The French-based API and logistics company Searoutes emphasised the influence the global accelerator has had on their business. For Searoutes, ZEBOX developed collaborations that allowed them to achieve their objectives.

Pierre Garreau, CEO of Searoutes said, “ZEBOX in a word? Energy. They’ve done a very good job of supporting us, pushing us, motivating us and opening doors that we couldn’t open on our own”.
