The proportion of ship equipment supply, product and services companies hiring for internet of things related positions kept relatively steady in June 2022 compared with the equivalent month last year, with 17.7% of the companies included in our analysis recruiting for at least one such position.
This latest figure was higher than the 17.4% of companies who were hiring for internet of things related jobs a year ago and an increase compared to the figure of 17.5% in May 2022.
When it came to the rate of all job openings that were linked to internet of things, related job postings kept steady in June 2022 from May 2022, with 0.2% of newly posted job advertisements being linked to the topic.
This latest figure was the lowest monthly figure recorded in the past year and is a decrease compared to the 0.4% of newly advertised jobs that were linked to internet of things in the equivalent month a year ago.
